Pre-Trip Ramblings: January 12, 2007

January 12, 2007
Today marks 10 days and counting…
Oh wow. Only 5 more week days and 4 more weekends left before I leave. Aiya! I think I can feel the stress creeping up on me. The good news is that the momentum from the last few days is building and I accomplished quite a bit today. I ran errands, did a lot of stuff at work, and I packed a lot tonight. In fact, my closet is now empty, with 99% of my clothes packed into storage or into garbage bags to give to Salvation Army. It was pretty wild standing in front of my empty closet, and it finally hit me: I am really leaving. It was almost a surreal feeling. My main priority is packing. Once I get that out of the way, I can start thinking about other things.

1:00am and I’m ready for bed. But it’s Erik and Erina’s going away shindig at SoHo. Everyone had just finished work and are on their way there. I didn’t really want to go because it’s late and I am tired from all the packing, but I do like Erik and Erina so I wanted to go say hi. It was pretty cool, played some pool, learned some of the new guys’ names in the kitchen and hung out with the gang. Pretty soon, I was really ready for bed, especially after some rude girl pushed my stuff off the chair and sat down without even giving any regards to my stuff or anything. How can people be so mean, rude and inconsiderate? Or am I just overreacting due to PMS?
