It’s 1:30am and I am still up. It’s been sort of a chaotic day and I’m feeling wired, but not in a good way. My head is buzzing in a metallic feeling, if anyone knows what I mean…
My day at work did not start out good. My email and Internet were not working and I did not know why. In fact, no one did. I had to wait for Gary to come, which he did around noon. In the meantime, I felt somewhat lost as I had a list of things that I wanted to accomplished, but most of them involved the use of email. However, once Gary gets the Internet up and running (I now know the trick) I got a lot accomplished.
I went for oysters with Sheri and Hui after work and boy was it good. It’s been a while since I had a dozen oysters so that made my mood better. I love oysters!
So tonight I finally went to a Speed Dating event. My verdict? It’s fun, but not for me. Maybe because it was being filmed for a TV show, but it just wasn’t as fun and exciting as I thought it would be. Out of 12 guys, there were maybe 3 or 4 that I would like to hang out with. No one there made me go ‘wow’. Maybe I do have high standards. I’ll post a detailed report tomorrow when I’m more coherent.
I finished the rest of the night on a good night by calling my credit cards companies (the ones that has 24/7 customer support, damn RBC) and informing them of my year long trip so that they won’t put a stop on my card when I start using them in New Zealand. I also managed to take some photos of my kitchen and bathroom to send to my rental company to post. Next will be the bedroom and the living room.
I did quite well for a day that started poorly. Now time for bed.
